The Emilio Sciacca Etna Wine farm
The farm “Emilio Sciacca Etna Wine” was born in 2015 as a decisive gesture of a love story that began many years before and which has the protagonist of Etna.
Emilio, already in the field of natural tourism and wine tourism, after many years of research, study and passion finds a small plot of land with an ancient Palmento to be renovated in the territory of Linguaglossa (Etna Nord) in contrada Martinella and immediately falls in love with it.
In 2018 the first harvest from which our three labelsare born: a white (Biancopiglio) and two reds (Rossobrillo and Neromagno) from native grapes of the volcano.
Today the farm Emilio Sciacca Etna Wine has one hectare of vineyards owned, both in Linguaglossa and on the south side of Biancavilla, and another hectare under a grant contract. These two hectares are followed directly and personally by the company along all agronomist phases.
We work both in the vineyard and in the cellar respecting nature, convinced that it is a travel companion to accompany and not the object to be subjugated. Treatments in the field are based on sulfur and copper and where necessary we use the sox or organic fertilizers. We do not irritate, and the harvest is manual. In the cellar the fermentations are spontaneous with indigenous yeasts, we do not filter and do not clarify, and the use of sulphites is minimized. Finally, we do not use plastic in the vineyard or in the packaging.
Respect and Love for the territory and traditions, the continuous research and commitment devoted to the practices of sustainable agriculture and therefore the cultural promotion of a unique terroir in the world, make Emilio Sciacca Etna Wine a new reference point in the wine-tourism scene of Etna.
A small but lively company that invites everyone within its walls to discover a wine made with volcanic passion, by those who have always loved Mount Etna, designed to spread joy and joy.
